Malaysia is the place I will remember for ever...

As the country where my journey almost ended tragically because I got stunned by 2 massive box jellyfish on the island of Langkawi. Everything started with a stupid bet about crossing an island at low tide and ended up quite sadly in an ambulance with oxygen and morphine.
This was the most terrifying experience of my trip and I really thought I might passed away. I ended up not being able to walk for almost a week and couldn't dive in the Perhentian islands because of that. But at the end, this made me realized how vulnerable we are and how precious life is.
Maybe one day I will made a tattoo of you beloved jellyfish...

I might have spent too much time in Malaysia (2 months and half) but I have no regrets . I was not expecting to appreciate this country that much. I particularly enjoyed my time on the many islands of Malaysia. The best ones by far where Kapas and the Perhentian, 2 very different islands. One is clearly more of a party island ideal if you want to dive because the water is so clear, and what you can see there is truly amazing. I couldn't dive but I spent the whole week scuba diving and I saw so many turtles, stingrays, eels, sharks, starfishes, butterfly fishes, parrot fishes and so on. Kapas, on the otherside, is more of a romantic island with fewer accommodations available and no shops at all. I chose to camp there because it was the perfect place to do so. If you do, just be sure to bring enough food and water with you since there is nothing on the island.

I did a short break from Malaysia visiting Singapore in the Chinese Singaporean family of one of my best friend. I felt so privileged to visit this family with my French Singaporean friend who crossed the whole world to meet me in Malaysia.

Then I came back to visit the island of Borneo. Another great spot if you like to dive but not only. Sabah is particularly famous for its diving spots, but Sarawak, on the other side of the island, is the best place to discover the Asian wildlife.
